2017 Health + Wellness Design Award Winner

We received notice from GDUSA Magazine that our work was selected as a winner in the 2017 Health + Wellness Design Awards competition. The project chosen was the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Brigham Health magazine. The piece was designed by Steve Habersang; illustrated by Michael Hoeweler, T.M. Detwiler, Chris Gash, and Cindy Lau; written by Joy Howard, Jennifer Reardon, and Lauren Thompson; and photographed by Anton Grassel, Larry Magget, Stu Rosner, and Len Rubinstein; and programmed by Hannah Wool.

Identity Program Included in Logo Lounge Book 10

An identity program created for Ravago Recycling by Art Director Steve Habersang has been chosen for inclusion in the new book “Logo Lounge 10.” From the publisher: “Your work was picked from among the 40,000 logos reviewed by our international judging panel of design superstars, including Andreas Karl, Aaron Draplin, Von Glitschka, Alex Tass, Chad Michael, Yo Santosa, Emily Oberman, Su Mathews Hale, Felix Sockwell and Alex Trochut.” The new book will be released by Rockport Publishers in 4Q17. NSPRA 2017 Award

The “Excellence is the Point” annual report we produced for the Stamford Public School system received an award in the National School Public Relations Association’s 2017 Publications and Electronic Media Contest. The piece was designed by Vaughn Fender, written by Sharon Beadle, and photographed by John Martin.

2017 CADC Show Award Winners

Our studio’s work earned awards at the 2017 Annual CT Art Directors Club Awards Show on June 29th at Marquee Events in Hartford, including a gold and judge’s award for the Taylor Design 2017 calendar promotion; three silver awards for the Foundation Source sales brochure, Sarah Lawrence Magazine, and the website for RZH Advisors; and five excellence awards for the Hartford Art School Website, the Brigham Health Online Magazine, Mount Sinai Science & Medicine magazine, the RZH Advisors logo, and the U. of Scranton Admissions Direct Mailer. Iris, Laura, Steph, Cindy, Chris, Bria, Hannah, and Steve enjoyed the festivities.

2017 Stamford Boys & Girls Club 5k

The 2017 Stamford Boys & Girls Club 5K attracted over 1,800 runners. One of our team members, Steve Habersang, finishes strong on the boardwalk at mile marker 3. Over $200,000 was raised to benefit the Stamford Boys & Girls Club.

American Graphic Design & Advertising 31 Awards Competition

Taylor Design received two awards in the 2017 American Graphic Design & Advertising 31 Awards Competition. The “Getting to Know Us” Booklet produced for Foundation Source received an award of distinction in the Brochures & Catalogs Competition  The piece was designed by Steph Mullins, illustrated by James Steinberg, and written by Catherine Sensor. The “Brigham Health” magazine produced for Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, was selected as a both a Finalist and Best of Category in the Publication Design Competition. The piece was designed by Steve Habersang; illustrated by Michael Hoeweler, T.M. Detwiler, Chris Gash, and Cindy Lau; written by Joy Howard, Jennifer Reardon, and Lauren Thompson; and photographed by Anton Grassel, Larry Magget, Stu Rosner, and Len Rubenstein.

Connecticut Awards of Excellence Winners

We received notice that the 2016 Annual Report we created for Stamford Public Schools received an award in the CABE Connecticut Awards of Excellence for Educational Communications competition. The report, designed by Vaughn Fender and written by Sharon Beadle will be showcased at the CABE/CAPSS convention on November 17, 2017 at the Mystic Marriott Hotel, Groton.
